Technology Rooted in Human Experience
SocialTheory builds decision-readiness experiences that prepare patients for complex treatment conversations. Our methodology combines graphic medicine, adaptive technology, and structured clinical frameworks.

The platform is designed to be adapted across therapeutic areas, with current applications including allergen immunotherapy and immune modulation therapies.

From Pilot to Platform: Evolving with Purpose
Survival Story began as a series of community exhibits—designed to blend visual storytelling with harm reduction training. Across four public installations, we trained 110 participants, distributed 177 Narcan kits, and heard firsthand how the experience shifted perspectives and inspired change.
A woman in recovery left determined to become a treatment counselor.

Clinicians told us it reframed how they think about OUD.
People felt seen.
Expanding into Decision Readiness in Allergy and Immunology

SocialTheory is advancing its platform to focus on decision readiness, with initial applications in allergy and immunology.

The platform supports patients navigating complex therapies such as immunotherapy and immune modulation by strengthening connection, surfacing key concerns, and preparing individuals for shared decision-making.
Flagship Product: Survival Story
01
Strengthening Clinical Decision-Making
Survival Story is an interactive, web-based platform designed to support clinical decision-making in opioid use disorder (OUD) care. Through emotionally resonant storytelling and intuitive design, it helps providers navigate complex conversations while aligning with regulatory requirements like REMS and the MATE Act.

Rather than simply informing, Survival Story fosters reflection, clarity, and patient-centered action—bridging the gap between policy and real-world practice.
02
Building Trust and Understanding
In a time of fractured communication and stigma, Survival Story creates space for empathy. By immersing users in realistic, human-centered scenarios, the platform strengthens the provider–patient relationship and promotes deeper understanding of the lived experiences behind OUD.

This foundation of trust supports better care, stronger adherence, and more meaningful engagement with harm reduction strategies.
03
Driving System-Level Impact
Survival Story is designed for healthcare systems, pharmaceutical partners, and frontline clinicians who need to meet risk mitigation goals without sacrificing human connection.

By focusing on relationships, empathy, and context—not just compliance—it enables organizations to reduce stigma, align clinical messaging, and improve outcomes in opioid safety and treatment engagement.
